Adrián Alexander Martínez Arana, the adolescent who participated in the protests from April 2018

Adrián Martínez Arana, 19 years old, originally from Managua, is the youngest of his brothers, Ángel Sebastián and Richard de Jesús. He was captured for the first time together with his brothers, barely being a 16-year-old teenager, for participating in the protests starting in April 2018, at the barricades located in the El Paraisito neighborhood sector in Managua.

On March 19, 2020, he was recaptured and subjected to arbitrary criminal proceedings, where the Public Ministry charged him with the crimes of aggravated robbery and terrorism.

Since the unjust detention of Adrián and his brothers, his mother has presented health problems.
